When call recording is enabled, PowerDialer and Click-to-Call create digital audio files for live calls and store them on your application server. These recordings are considered part of your data usage. Third-party recording storage tools provide some additional ways to help you manage this storage, and reduce costs.


To help customers better manage costs, we've included the ability to move stored call recordings off InsideSales.com's servers, and on to a client-controlled location. This utility currently allows clients to use their own FTP / SFTP server, or connect to an Amazon S3 account.

NOTE -  If you move the file from the destination specified in the setup it will break the link, meaning you will no longer be able to access the recording through SF.


In order to set up your 3rd Party Storage, you will need to go to this link: http://aws.amazon.com/s3/ and create an account. Once the accounts been created, you will want to follow the provided step-by-step video that will walk you completely through your Amazon 3rd Party storage setup.

We strongly encourage investigating in using Amazon Storage as soon as possible. This is a sure-fire way to help reduce costs and getting 3rd Party storage set up sooner rather than later will proactively ensure that customers don’t run into storage problems.
